I start the v.20 demo, see the loading screen, and then hear the main menu music and stuff, but when it's done loading, all I see is my desktop in a really low resoltion. I can alt tab and then go back in, but the same thing occurs. I tried running in different resolutions to no avail.

My specs:
2.5 GHz Pentium 4
Windows XP Home SP2
512 MB RAM
ATI Radeon 9500 Pro

Fixed my own problem. I had to set the desktop resoltion to 1024 x 768 and then run the game, THEN set the game to my native resolution of 1124 x something to get it to start from my normal resolution. Should be easy to fix in future iterations, no?

That sounds like a very unusual bug, since the default game resolution is 800x600 and it makes no use of your desktop resolution. Using 1024x768 should make no difference compared with your normal resolution. Could you check to see that there aren't any other applications running in the background that might affect it?

I am having the same problem but the resolution solution did not work. I even upgraded to the Lastest Radeon Drivers 5.9 still no display of main menu. I also stop all non-critical daemons but still not dice. Anyone have any ideas on what I can do to fix this?

1.5GB Ram
2100+ Athlon
Radeaon 9800 128MB

Do you have any display overrides set in your Catalyst control panel?

Any monitor drivers besides the Windows default loaded?

I checked and I have all of the default settings in the Catalyst control panel. As for the monitor driver I am using the default windows plug and play driver.

Here is the first part of the error.log looks like something with atioglxx.dll. Anyone have any ideas what this means?
Thanks

Looks like an OpenGL issue. You could try tinkering with the OpenGL settings in your Catalyst control panel.

You could also try falling back to a previous driver build. Catalyst 5.7 worked fine for me and the Omega version (http://www.omegadrivers.net/) of the 5.7 are also working perfectly.

Update DirectX maybe?
