well i'm more of a "Elite" person. I really enjoy the freedom those games gave me and the feeling of life around me.

I think that's why i'm attracted to this game. The feeling that you're not alone while fighting Smile. Combining Elite with this games AI and massive number of ships would be gold in my book Very Happy

But anyways..nice work! I'll buy this game when i figure out how to borrow someones credit card. The bank took mine :\

What about a "death star" mission?

You have to attack a really huge starship or some kind of fortress and the only weak point is well defended in the bottom of a trench or tunnel. You must trow some kind of bomb on it (and it only activates when you are nearby).

It will be nearly a suicide mission and it can get very hard to finish so thereŽs an idea.

Each time you are destroyed you are transfered to another ship (randomly) to continue the mission. YouŽll have a limited "ship-change" to avoid nearly unlimited "lives".

Mission type: "turret defend".

Well, your capital ship can be attacked while the fighters are out or maybe there are some kind of malfuction on launch systems..whatever.

You grab the command of a turret and must defend the ship from enemy atatcks.

I really detest those "escort a weak ship though a battlezone" and "defend the mothership" type missions - I've always found them highly frustrating (normally due to the incompetence of my wingmen, AI pilots, etc).

I can't remember what game it was, but one game I played had a mission where you and your squadron had to penetrate a highly fortified position to take out one particular target - the enemy ships continuously spawned, so you just had to avoid their fire and concentrate on destroying the defended target (and then get out of the area before some mega-nuke or something went off). That would probably work well with CBS.
